The world is encouraging to me to move from svn to git. OK then.
After 2.6 days of raging against the machine, I have a working Rails app on Heroku *weeps tears of relief*
Everybody in this office speaks at least 3 languages. Except me. Unless you count Javascript and PHP.
Trying RailsInstaller on @dynjo's recommendation. http://railsinstaller.org/ Hopefully more Heroku-friendly.
That email I just got from LinkedIn says 18% of my connections changed jobs in 2010 - that's a lot of churn

The whole point of Heroku is it's radically easier to deploy apps. They need to work harder on the first hurdle.
Heroku gem doesn't like Ruby 1.9.1 on Windows, but that's the default download version. No help on the Heroku site.
Google reveals that 1,000,000 n00bs are suffering the same as me, yet the "Getting Started" tutorials are b0rked
Trying to deploy a Hello World app to Heroku. The incantations are truly mystifying.
