ICC to review the future of 50-over cricket after 2011 World Cup. Hopefully goodbye to this format.
Two test matches Pakistan v Australia in England in 2010.
England cricket fixtures 2010 http://ping.fm/5Eis9
Getting 2010 cricket fixtures from @aggerscricket++ before anything appears on Cricinfo, BBC or ECB websites
Climate Camp: no violence = no press or TV coverage. Much better strategy from the Met Police climatecamp
For my NHS appointment I was seen on time, given the information I needed and booked for an op within a month welovethenhs
NHS consultant I saw this week did a minor cosmetic procedure although she was under no obligation to do so welovethenhs

Ponting and Clarke in the same spell. I take back everything I said about Stuart Broad
Unexpected day at the Test Match thanks to @jobsworth. Good seats, good company.

Thursday 20 August 2009

Despite his inferior Test and 1st Class ave, Broad bats ahead of Swann for Notts. This is why there's some edge when they bat together for England. Good.
Looking like a result wicket, anyway
To my new followers: shutdown -P
This is the worst Australian side since the 1980s. Poor captain. Popgun attack. Only 2 good batsmen.
FWIW I would have kept faith with Bopara. Hope to be proved wrong.
Trott has some vulnerable quirks in his technique. Hope his form makes up for them.
I just signed the Alan Turing petition (http://ping.fm/ki6ky). Thinking a posthumous knighthood wouldn't be out of place either
Lily Allen at the Test Match even though Onions isn't playing. Must be Freddy's lucky night.

Is there somewhere we can isolate Janet Street-Porter, Kate Hoey, Simon Jenkins etc. where they can write columns and sell them to each other?
I think you all deserve the joke that should have preceded my Fleet Street punchline, so here it is...
Edgar is a wise and kindly leader.
Hello @pingfm - trying to tell a multi-tweet story. Please stop dropping random tweets, makes it a bit Ginsbergy...
Secondly, when we get home Gilbert starts throwing up. At this point only Edgar (18 months old) is 100% so he is nominally in charge.
Firstly, we were in A&E for less than 10 minutes! welovethenhs
So, on Saturday night I'm in bed with a virus when Sam announces she's cut off her thumb with a knife. Took her to A&E. Thumb glued back on.
Oh yeah, it's called Fleet Street.
A kind soul has made a Java version of my email address validator. Working out how to publish it with him. http://ping.fm/rtNWI

Saturday 8 August 2009

Just seen a young man with a tattoo saying "New Beginning's". The kerning was awful too.
3.97. Hurrah!
Reduced to watching the run rate sinking towards 4.0. Small cheer soon after lunch for stattos I hope.
When you see a deep point for the first ball of the day it's difficult to believe the team shares one's hopes
There's uaually something to think about during a Test Match but I may resort to reading the paper
Breathing Yorkshire air. Sun is shining. What could be better, apart from Ottis Gibson getting the sack?

One eye on the cricket on Sky Player (thanks Mum)

Also, without pointing any fingers, I think telling everybody what music you're listening to is a poor use of my bandwidth :-)
Little bit irritated by back-slapping self-referential cliques. Especially when I'm not in them.
Still, difficult to imagine a better day than the one I've had though.
With hindsight, I should have taken those 2 tickets I was offered for today. Still some life in this Test.
